2003 F350
Go Home
This was my early 2003 F350 with a 7.3L. I ordered it days before the cutoff point where all future orders would be built as 6.0L's. I did this because I really didn't want to be a guinea pig for the new engine and I really loved the 7.3L. I know the 6.0L would eat it alive but what I needed was a great running engine that didn't visit the dealer very often. The 1999 7.3L I had prior did that gave me that reliability. Oddly enough, this one turned out to have an engine problem at about 120,000km and ended up with a new short block in it. I had heard so many bad things about the Franklin reman products that I decided to ditch it, and took a 2004 out of dealer stock.
Not a lot of weight here, but regardless, the 7.3L does an amazing job of moving loads. I can only imagine how much better it would have been if it had been coupled with the 5 speed automatic that the 6.0L used.
Ya gotta love free Cedar electric poles, they are a great source of inexpensive cedar!

The new Dual Box Option: I picked up this take-off box in Maryland and used it to replace the original one that was beat up in 2 places.
